A sunny pre-spring day.

Not many, but a few daffodils flowered here this weekend.
New sofa! – 22/365
PF Collection, with Villa Nova Malmo covering. A real bargain at £215 on eBay. It has an interesting flecked pattern, and the colour changes with the light. In the daytime more grey, in the evening more chocolate. Now have to find a home for the two armchairs it replaced.

Krishnamurti DVDs – 18/365
Designed my my friend Francisco, these Krishnamurti DVD covers look great. This is in the bookshop at the Krishnamurti Centre, Brockwood Park, Hampshire, where I live and work.

We just got a new alarm clock. It has a lamp that starts dim half an hour before the time you want to wake up and slowly gets brighter. This allows the body to wake up a little before the actual alarm time. For the sound, you can choose bird tweets, a soft alarm tone, some drumming, wind chimes, or radio. We have used the birds so far, and this morning, it took a few minutes until I realized they weren’t outside the window. The clock shines through the white of the lamp base.
The first spring leaves – 16/365
And daffodils almost ready to bloom :)
Look up! – 15/365

Sunny day! Spring! Nearly.
When in the city, it’s always worth looking up beyond the sell sell sell and the stern faces to the varied and often delightful roof lines and upper floors.
I really like the contrasting and varied styles of building you see in this area of Winchester.
After sunset – 14/365
I’m taking my camera with me everywhere these days. Makes sure I catch moments for the daily photo. This one walking to the school after work.

Many more snowdrops this year than last. We had to go to Warnford to see many last year but this time round they are all over, hinting at spring, and being delightful. These are just by the car park.
Today I learnt that cars are basically no more efficient now than 100 years ago, and yet nearly every other technology has improved many times over.

At Brockwood Bottom, one of my favourite spots around here, the old fashioned sign is broken.
Old Portsmouth Point from Gunwharf – 9/365
We took a trip down to Gunwharf, Portsmouth as a kind of Birthday / Valentines. With it’s cluster of pubs on the harbour entrance, you can still get a feel for what old Portsmouth was like. Watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, a touching film, made me cry.

Top quality, these lovely grinders are made in Sweden with an iron base. They are very heavy and feel they will last for ever.
