We all planted this young ‘un in silence this morning, after a walk around the grounds to mark the end of the reunion.

For me, the star of the informal evening. Last night of the reunion.

Reunion preparations

Walk Monday morning (our new Sunday) from Newton Valence around Noar Hill. This youngster was mighty curious, and a kitten was on the scene too.

Lovely tree, again on the South Lawn. This one doubles as a volleyball net post. Groundsman Mark thinks it’s another cedar. If you know the type of cedar, please let me know…

Brockwood has so many characterful, established trees. As part of the year of photos, I am going to feature some of them here, starting with the most well known, on the South Lawn.
