NEW YORK – Supertankers that once raced around the world to satisfy an unquenchable thirst for oil are now parked offshore, fully loaded, anchors down, their crews killing time. In the United States, vast storage farms for oil are almost out of room.
As demand for crude has plummeted, the world suddenly finds itself awash in oil that has nowhere to go.

There’s a $700 trillion elephant in the room and it’s time we found out how much it really weighs on the economy.
I like Russell Brand. I think the fuss over the answerphone messages is exaggerated and manipulated. Here’s a nice quite from him in the Guardian:

The material world is a transitory illusion, and if it is, why organise your life around the systems that it imposes?
