Once upon a time at the southern end of the county of Hampshire, I worked for Road Runner Dispatch, a same day courier company. Back then they were in South Street, Havant and it was pretty much just Matthew Lipscomb and me running the office, with input from the owner, Kevin Edwards, with a team of maybe eight drivers. It was my first full time job and I stuck with it from 1990 until 1996. Later, my brother Martin also worked for them. I even had a company car – a VW Beetle.
I gave the mug to the school’s collection about 5 years ago and today I noticed it had turned up in the Centre, so I reclaimed it. The rota machine has taken its toll but I like it that way.
