Twin Peaks

I’ve been watching the first season of Twin Peaks, for the first time since the intial run in the early 1990s. What a treat it is. A steady pace, long takes, interesting characters and a unique atmosphere. The Lynch touch running through the visuals, sound effects and direction. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend a download. Here are some of my favourite scenes so far, all involving Agent Cooper:

  1. Sir, following your recent article “Twin Peaks”,
I would just like to draw your attention to the fact that you have indeed watched Twin Peaks since it’s first run, as I re-visited it with you during the mid to late 1990’s. It was damn fine. I also recall a group viewing in a basement flat, with lights low, and munchies, the final episode involving Bob at the foot of a bed and a mirror. That was damn fine also, though not for Special Agent Cooper. And it was slightly unnerving.

    • If it was mid to late nineties it doesn’t count.

What a series! I suspect Agent Cooper is heavily based on David Lynch. Have you seen his daily weather forecasts?
